Lapping Compounds
Brighton Laboratories enhanced product line of lapping compounds consist of an abrasive silicon carbide formulated to properly finish and polish metal surfaces to ensure precision mating of metal gear sets. Our lapping compounds were developed to suspend the dense silicon carbide at a low viscosity, are very portable and pumpable while still maintaining their integrity. As a result of this special formulation, Brighton Labs lapping compounds are stable and maintain their fluidity during the lapping cycle. Our quality formulation helps you achieve your specifications for your parts finish.
Any residual film will easily wash off at ambient temperature with most alkaline cleaners. Brighton Labs offer lapping compounds in many different silicon carbide profile sizes for specific applications.
